7th Asia-Oceania Ceramic Federation Conference (AOCF-7)

Scope of the Symposium
Although ceramics were anciently invented, the science and technology of ceramics are advancing rapidly, leading into new fields far beyond the conventional image of ceramics. Careful tailoring of micro-and nano-structures, in particular, is yielding superior mechanical, chemical, and electrical properties. Engineering structural and functional ceramics are expected to find uses as key components in a variety of industrial applications, from engines with high efficiency long-term durability to devices to maintain clean environments. Our cornerstone symposium will discuss on the advanced monolithic and composite ceramic materials for wide-ranged applications.
Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) 124th Committee on Advanced Ceramics has been conducting a series of International Symposium on Advanced Ceramics (ISAC). Following the first symposium at Kurume, Japan in 1997 (ISAC-1), the second symposium at Shanghai, China in 2002 (ISAC-2), the third symposium at Singapore in 2006 (ISAC-3), the fourth symposium at Osaka, Japan in 2010 (ISAC-4), and the fifth symposium at Wuhan, China (ISAC-5). This time, ISAC-6 is going to be held in conjunction with the 7th Asia-Oceania Ceramic Federation Conference (AOCF-7) and ThinFilms Workshop 2018.
Since materials science is interdisciplinary research field, it is excellent for ISAC-6 to be held with the AOCF-7 and ThinFilms Workshop 2018. We sincerely wish to provide opportunity for cross-linking of various fields of materials science and engineering.
